2027 12th International Conference on Public Health and Medical Sciences will be held in Tianjin during Apr. 18-20, 2027. Tianjin (天津), abbreviated as "Jin," is a municipality directly under the central government of the People's Republic of China, a national central city, and the largest port city in northern China. It borders the Bohai Sea to the east and the Yanshan Mountains to the north. Historically, Tianjin rose to prominence through grain transport by water and has long been known as the "convergence of nine rivers." After its opening as a treaty port in 1860, Tianjin became one of the earliest northern Chinese ports to open to the outside world, giving rise to a distinctive urban landscape where Chinese and Western elements blend harmoniously, and where tradition and modernity coexist. The city is renowned for its Western-style buildings, which form an "exposition of international architecture," as well as its vibrant local culture and nationally celebrated performing arts, particularly in traditional comic dialogues and storytelling, earning it the reputation of the "Home of Quyi" (Chinese folk performing arts).
